Important

We have ideas for playing party games in the morning. Then they can play in their digging box we plan on making. After the digging box fun they can go swimming, then we’ll have rattie cake and open presents. Finally they can bust open their piñata. We will be doing some other fun stuff too. They only have a few birthdays so make them great ones.

Adrienne

Well that was entertaining and we had alot of fun. It was wonderful being able to visit with Valerie and her gang. Dinner Friday night was very nice. Its great getting to spend time with people you love and dont get to see all that often.

The show was different than I had imagined. At the same time it was pretty much routine. I think I worried myself to a frazzle about healthchecks and I was hardly able to eat all weekend. The boys all passed (of course) and into the show we went!!!! I am so proud of all of them, they all placed!!!! Meef got a good mention, but no ribbon and I still think that Trunk got robbed, Vespa also placed. Our big boy Vroo stunned us all with his first place ribbon. I wanted to cry in joy when they placed that blue on his little showbox.

We also met quite a few people from the Goosemoose forum and that was interesting. Its rather nice to be able to put names to faces. They were very nice people. We finally got to meet Astrid and bought some cubes from her!!!

We also picked up Boo and Hector and they are little lambs!!!! so cute!!!! They are settled into the big cage and likely sleeping.

We got some really nice pics taken of the boys with their ribbons. Just click on the images and they’ll take you to the gallery page with the full sized pic.

Time to go in search of food and a small nap. Have to take addie to get her pic taken with her softball team!!!

Unless otherwise noted, all NIRO show photos were taken by Terri P. Tepper.

Sadly, yesterday we lost beloved Hiroku. He was father/grandfather to Wembley, Fergus and Vroo.

A sweet little man that will be fondly remembered with much love and tenderness. He was a sweet boy who even at the end was still kissey and loving towards his family.

Our hearts go out to his loving family. We know all to well how difficult each loss is and how much our hearts break when it’s time for them to go on to a kinder, gentler place, where they won’t know illness ever again.

Play hard at the bridge little man, just know that you will never be forgotten. Your legacy lives within the fine children you helped to produce. We will think of you often with smiles and lots of love.

Goo’s litter is due anytime now! Her due date is actually today, but rats can be a bit off with that at times. We are hoping for some typey, gorgeous rats!!! I’m hoping for enough boys in the litter so that I can have one. It’s all just so exciting!

We are going up to Valerie’s on Friday to pick up the new batch of babies! I cannot wait, I know Adrienne is on pins and needles with excitement!!! It will be wonderful to see Val and her gang. Couldn’t have worked out better with the day off from school. It’s nice when things just seem to work out like they are supposed to. Now let’s just hope for good weather there and back!!!!

Valerie has a new litter over at Azure Ridge Rattery. So congratulations to the new mommy, Star!!! She gave birth to six girls and six boys. I cant wait to see how this litter develops.

Just as soon as I get a chance I will have Scott link the site so everyone can enjoy the gummi bear goodness that is newborn ratties!!!!
