August 2007

I was reading over Mom’s shoulder this morning, as I’m want to do most Sundays, and I read an amusing comment on Goosemoose. There was a lady who suggested that us rat folk may in fact be alot more like Ferengi than some give us credit for. Now having watched many, many episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, I’m quite familair with the Ferengi and their love of Oo-mox. Yes dear readers it’s true. Rats do love their ears played with, scritched and generally messed wth. Well at least most of us do =D.

So next time you have one of your beloved furkids out and playing with them, by all means spread the love and indulge in a little Oo-mox. We will be forever grateful and its a great bonding experience for both of us.

I have to run, the batteries on my mp3 player are wearing out and I just can’t seem to find the words without the “noise” of 80’s synth pop in my ears.

Until next time dear readers……keep the snacks coming!!!!!

The boys have decided they LOVE this stuff. It’s full of so many things and I have been told is amazingly good for them. I mixed it into baby cereal and they went nuts. They climbed all over one another to get some. I’m hoping to order a bigger bottle of the stuff in a couple of weeks. It’s not exactly cheap by any means. I figure if it helps with their health and overall conditioning, then it’s money well spent. I’m not sure if it’s something I would feed everyday, but at least a few times a week.

I would suggest that people try it if they are able to get some.

There is always so much going on around here! Vroo has been having issues with allergies and all of them just seem a little more short tempered with one another. I suppose it’s these dog days of summer.

We are in the process of doing some remodeling around the house and things have been hectic. I know they don’t like their world being topsy turvy and I can’t say I blame them. I hate having things a huge mess and not being able to straighten things up. When it’s all said and done the house will look wonderful and the boys will have things back to the way they like them.

We were glad to get home, to see our lovely group of furbabies!!! I know they missed us as much as we missed them. I have already said that we will not do that again unless we can take the boys with us. It’s just to much stress being away from them. They can be very delicate and need alot of care.

Sadly Jeebies passed away. Seems Val is losing her beloved friends and that’s just unfair in many ways. He sired some lovely children who are much beloved members of our families. His cheerful personality and kisses will be missed for a long time to come.

On a happier note, the babies are so cute!!! Growing like weeds. They will be ready to go to new homes on August 17th. We are all looking forward to Tie coming to live here. I have been getting supplies to fatten him up so that he can live in the big boys cage sooner. I have no doubt that he will fit right in with the rest of the kids at Scott’s and be another wonderful addition to that family.
