July 2007

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for mom and Adrienne. Taylor Softball smashed the Romulus team and they will be going to the state finals in Grand Rapids. Mom and our good friend Scott, have been running around “fund raising”. I’m not sure what that is exactly, kinda sounds like “food raising” to me. Then again, I’m always in the mood for a snack and think of food quite often.

We are trying to keep ourselves a bit more entertained than usual. With so much going on around the house, we are trying to be less needy and demanding of our peoples time. Adrienne still comes and cuddles each of us several times a day and will often take me and my brother out for a romp on the couch with her. Mom makes sure that we all get out of the cage and get to stretch our legs at least once a day. I know they are both super busy, yet they always make time for us. Rats couldn’t ask for better people to love and care for them.

Vroo’s sisters kids are a very handsome bunch. Cricket did a fine job caring for them and they have turned into little golf balls with legs, very cute in this rats opinion. I have heard rumor that Ty wil be coming down state to live with our friend Scott. He will be a much loved family member no matter what house he resides in.

Mom is on her way back upstairs, I hear her. She sometimes forgets that rats hear so much better than our humans could ever hope to.

Take care!

I have been told that our sister, Adrienne, and her softball team won their very first game in the district tournament. How very exciting for her and all the other girls. Mom says that if they keep playing so well, they might just end up going to state and who knows what will happen there?

Fergus and I have been plotting a way to get a ride to state if that happens. Mom said we just need to stay at home where we are safer and more comfy! I kind of want to watch the game though. I suppose mom is right, we need to be at home. We can get highlights when they come home to check in and whatnot.

Keep it up Taylor Softball!!!

The district tournaments start tomorrow and the boys want to wish Adrienne and Taylor Softball lots of luck!!!!!!!!! They know thier big sissy and her team mates will do well and the bunch are cheering her on!!!!

Lets go #16!!!!!!! Lets see that bat come alive.

Vroo and Meef would like to announce the birth of their 4 nephews and 2 neices to their beautiful sister Cricket. All American Blue, what a lovely new bunch. Not sure if there will be markings yet, but Val is pretty sure there should be. Give it a few days.
Congrats to the lovely new mama and the proud papa!!!!

The school experiment minnow has left us for a larger lake. Jack was part of an eco system project at school with Adrienne. Rather than flushing him when the project was over, she brought him home and put him in a nice little tank. He was a cute little minnow and lived a full nine months with us.

His fishy ways will be missed and the tank claning days will not soon be forgotten. Rest easy fishy man, swim hard in your pond!!!!
