We have ideas for playing party games in the morning. Then they can play in their digging box we plan on making. After the digging box fun they can go swimming, then we’ll have rattie cake and open presents. Finally they can bust open their piñata. We will be doing some other fun stuff too. They only have a few birthdays so make them great ones.

Ahh the joys of a mischief. The boys have all settled back down from their road trip. The excitement of being ribbon winners has quieted. Now it’s back to the routine business of being spoiled pets!
Adrienne is busy planning the Uncle’s first birthday party. She has bought a piñata and we were discussing birthday cakes last night. We are thinking that a pumpkin muffie from Panera Bread would be nice, maybe add a touch of cream cheese frosting. There will also be a digging box and a small swimming pool put into the cage for the day!!!! She is also researching party games and favors for the boys to all have after the day of fun is over with, we are also sending treat bags home to Scott’s rats. What do you buy rats for a first birthday? Hmmmm… something to ponder the next couple of weeks.
I need a redo of the cage. I want to get them some more interesting things to play with. An engaged mind is a happy rat. We did get them a wooden cage full of nuts (it’s actually a parrot toy) this weekend. They have to stand up in order to reach it to chew on it. They really seem to be enjoying the challenge. The little boys go after it the most and it’s alot of fun to watch them hanging on it, trying deseprately to get to the nutty center!!!! =D
With any luck we will be laying a new floor in the living room and painting the walls, so the boys might get some back porch time in the next few weeks. I thought they might enjoy the fresh air and breezes. Let’s hope for a warm day, not too hot–good weather for them to be out and about. I just prefer they not be in the house with painting going on.
So we’ll see what happens in the next couple of weeks

Well that was entertaining and we had alot of fun. It was wonderful being able to visit with Valerie and her gang. Dinner Friday night was very nice. Its great getting to spend time with people you love and dont get to see all that often.
The show was different than I had imagined. At the same time it was pretty much routine. I think I worried myself to a frazzle about healthchecks and I was hardly able to eat all weekend. The boys all passed (of course) and into the show we went!!!! I am so proud of all of them, they all placed!!!! Meef got a good mention, but no ribbon and I still think that Trunk got robbed, Vespa also placed. Our big boy Vroo stunned us all with his first place ribbon. I wanted to cry in joy when they placed that blue on his little showbox.
We also met quite a few people from the Goosemoose forum and that was interesting. Its rather nice to be able to put names to faces. They were very nice people. We finally got to meet Astrid and bought some cubes from her!!!
We also picked up Boo and Hector and they are little lambs!!!! so cute!!!! They are settled into the big cage and likely sleeping.
We got some really nice pics taken of the boys with their ribbons. Just click on the images and they’ll take you to the gallery page with the full sized pic.
Time to go in search of food and a small nap. Have to take addie to get her pic taken with her softball team!!!
Unless otherwise noted, all NIRO show photos were taken by Terri P. Tepper.

We’ll be off to the NIRO show this afternoon!!!!! YAY!!!! Looks like there will be tons of Goosemoose people showing up as well. We are really looking forward to spending time with Valerie and Kori. Seems all we ever do is run by and grab a rat or two LOL. The boys are as ready as they will ever be. I have a few odds and ends that need to be taken care of this morning.
A good time is sure to be had by all!!!!!

The boys were all cuddled into one hammie this morning… talk about cute. They all tried to look out the edge, to see if breakfast would be arriving anytime soon. That’s the beauty of rats, they understand and keep a schedule with their humans! I scritched my Fergies ears and he bruxed happily for me, licking my fingers where he could reach them *sighs happily* These boys really just melt my heart into a useless puddle of goo.
