The season is upon us and we’re blessed with what we have. We have two new boys to bring us joy and they’re really special babies. I’m personally happy that I have Meef with us and know that Anita and Adrienne are happy to have Vroo.
Everyone is settled in with everyone in their big cages now, although I’m still migrating my big boys into a cage with Meef–I didn’t want to unsettle him too much at first with the big boys of Odin, Chin-Po and Mushu at once. These three are pushing or over 500 grams in weight. So I have Chin-Po in with Meef for now in a spare large cage I had and they seem to be great pals so far. I didn’t expect anything differently, to be honest since Chin-Po is a really laid back boy.
In fact, most of my boys are fairly laid back. The only one that isn’t is Mushu, and it’s just spurts of bundled energy with him–racing up and down ramps for no apparent reason other than to play with some imaginary friend he must have. When he’s not playing with ghost rats, he’s all sorts of laid back though.
The only downer we’ve had is the loss of Sidebottoms. I still kick myself for not getting any pictures of her while she was with us.
I mention this simply because I have taken pictures of Meef and Vroo and put them in the gallery. I’ve also seperated the real Fraggle Rats from my rats and put them in a sub-gallery inside the Fraggle’s gallery. I think there’s some great pictures there.
I know personally that Meef is a riot. He enjoys playing tag with me–chasing my hand and zipping around under blankets and elsewhere when my hands chase him. Him and Vroo are very kissy, as well. They’re wonderful, adorable boys. Anita is quite correct in saying that rats are very much like having pets that are little people. Thanks a ton, Valerie.
I just wanted to take the time to say to everyone that I hope your holidays are filled with the same kind of joy we get from owning rats and the camradery they bring us.
